Reforestation Nation was started by four high school students from Chaminade College Preparatory in May 2009. Assigned a full project on Global Warming, they were pushed to make solutions for each of the problems they found with the topic. After much research, they came to the conclusion that the issue of Deforestation needed to have attention brought to it, after realizing how important the trees and plants are to our planet's climate, and all of our lives.
A project came to mind, to take the idea of planting more trees up a notch by making it more global and get results sooner. The plan has become to raise awareness on deforestation and push for more support with Reforestation Nation.
